Outside :: magazine redesign :: 2007 student work
Outside magazine was one of the leaders in what we now call the “action” sports movement. Debuting their first edition in 1977—they have had a very specific audience of adrenalin seeking outdoor types. Typically they are males from around age 25-45. In order to appeal to the new upcoming generation of potential Outside buyers—I felt the need to refresh the magazine to a more contemporary place for a younger audience while maintaining a level of sophistication that would appeal to the older demographic.
